Remembering Dr. Martin Luther King,Jr.

98.1 The Beat is honoring the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for his hard work and dedication towards civil rights, equality and just for all. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is celebrated Monday, January 21st 2019. For several people in the community and organizations it is recognizes as a day of service, and not a day off.

Parade: The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration Parade, Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 12:00 p.m at Lot K on Clinton Avenue Downtown Huntsville, presented by the The Delta Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. For more information click here.

Day of Service:┬áMonday, January 21, 2019 from 10am to 3pm, the All African People’s Development & Empowerment Project (AAPDEP) will be hosting our third annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at Zenzele Consignment, 2205-F University Drive in Huntsville. For more information click here.
