Mariah Carey Releases New Track ‘Save The Day’ Featuring Lauryn Hill
Mariah Carey has released the new track “Save The Day,” featuring Lauryn Hill, from her upcoming album.
The release comes a few days after Carey announced that her new album, The Rarities, will be released on October 2.
On a Zoom listening party ahead of the song’s release, Carey said, “I love Lauryn, I think she’s an incredible artist.”
“I was happy that Lauryn wanted to do this moment with me.. I only wanted to do it with her approval and excitement,” she added.
“Save the Day” was an unfinished project that Carey, Jermaine Dupri and Randy Jackson collaborated on in 2011 and finished recently.
The 15-track album will also include some of Carey’s biggest hits, including “Always Be My Baby” and “Hero.”
The album will also include a bonus set of “Live at the Tokyo Dome,” containing 17 songs that Carey played during her first concert performance in Japan in 1996.
